After Jwala, we continued our trek to Malola. Before you enter the temple, there is a small puddle of water which is always red in colour legend has it that, Lord Narasimha washed his blood-soaked hands here after killing Hiranyakashibu. If the water flow is high, you will get drenched as you will be walking between the waterfalls and the mountain. You need to cross a stunning path right under the water falls which I referred to earlier as originating close to Ugra Stamba. This trek from upper Ahobilam to Jwala Narasimhar temple is the longest and the most beautiful. Legend has it that 'Ugra Stamba' is the pillar from which Lord Narasimha emerged to kill Hiranyakashibu. This trek mostly is along the banks of the perennial river that originates close to the 'Ugra Stamba'. After the darshan at Upper Ahobilam, we started a wonderful treck to Jwala. Roads are in good condition and there is a large parking space at the upper Ahobilam temple. We started our journey to the temples at 8am with a car ride to the upper Ahobilam temple, which is about 8 kilometers from the base (lower Ahobilam). for those who have difficulty in trekking, there are doli (chair-like structures which are carried by 4 men) services available. Visit to these temples would involve about 3 hours of trekking and 3 hours of jeep drive. These temples also represent the Nava Grahas. The 9 temples are (in the order in which I visited them) 1. You need at least two days to visit all the 9 temples. This site contains nine temples (Nava Narasimha temples) which need to be done mostly on foot. Now, a bit of about Ahobilam: According to legend, Lord Narasimha vanquished demon Hiranyakashibu to save the demon's son and Narasimha's ardent devotee Prahladha. This place is about 70 kilometers from Nandyal and can be reached by road from Bangalore (Bangalore->Anantapur->Ahobilam). Ahobilam is located in Kurool district of Andhra Pradesh. Visit to these 9 sites give you a twist of adventure. You can also visit the other nearby places namely Gandikota(The Grand Canyon of India), Srisailam,Mahanandi temple(Nandyal),Bellum caves and Hyderabad.ДЄhobilam is a religious site, comprising of 9 temples of Hindu god Narasimha. You'll surely enjoy this beautiful place.

We visited the temples in Lower Ahobilam. After the completion of Jwala, we made our way back down the hill. There's no perfect path 'created', infact you need to clear on the bushes and make your own way up ! There's a temple at Jwala with idols of Lord Narasimha. But it is possible only to reach Jwala(temple) as the Trek further to Ugra Stamba(the pillar from which Lord Narasimha emerged)is not an easy task. The way upto the temples is really beautiful and equally adventurous. Prefer to wear shoes as it helps you Trek better. 4-5 bottles of water or fruit juice is required for a small family which consists of 4 members. Trekking would be hard for people above 50 ! And kids below 8 ! In such case there are carriages available at the entrance. This would be a complete devotional trip with tons of adventure as there's long way to Trek. Usually it takes 1 compete day to visit all the temples here. There are 9 shrines(Nava Narasimha temples) out of which 3 are situated in the lower Ahobilam and 6 are in the upper Ahobilam. The town is divided into 2 parts namely, The Upper Ahobilam and The Lower Ahobilam. According to legend, this is where Lord Narasimha, one of the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu,who blessed Pralhad and killed Hiranyakashyap. This is a holy site in Allagadda mandal in Karnool district of Andhra Pradesh.
